Chris Morrill

For nearly his entire life, Chris Morrill has been an artist. At an early age he watched his mother and sister draw and paint which instilled in him a deep love for art. His works are highly inspired by nature and photographs he has taken over the years.

Chris majored in Ceramics at the School for American Craftsman at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, where he earned his degree in Fine Arts in 1991. His ceramic and forged steel sculptures have been displayed and sold at several galleries throughout the
Rochester area. In 1992 he continued his studies in painting, drawing, glass blowing, woodworking, metalsmithing and sculpting at Arizona State University.

After college Chris spent a number of years designing and producing paintings and ceramics that were custom matched to fabrics and colors for several hundred furniture stores across Michigan and Illinois. He has also had custom sculptures installed in many celebrity homes including professional baseball player Cecil Fielder. In 1998, some of his vases were featured in the movie “Polish Wedding”.

Chris’ love of comic books can also be seen in his work. He has had comic art published by Palladium Books, Drunken Style Studios, Twilight Comics, Devious Images and Project Four.
